WELCOME TO TUSSAHAW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
My name is Brandee Tabacchi and I am honored to be your Student Support Facilitator (SSF) at Tussahaw Elementary School. I am excited about building relationships with the students, families, and faculty at Tussahaw to create an environment for lifelong learners. I believe it takes a village of people to influence a child's life and to help them achieve great things.
I received my first Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Westfield State University, in Westfield, Massachusetts. I then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from Western Governor's University, Salt Lake City, Utah. I began working as a substitute teacher in Henry County Schools as I worked on my ECE degree. I was hired during that time as a 4th-grade teacher and completed my student teaching in my own class. Upon graduating with my 2nd Bachelor's degree, I became highly qualified in the areas of P-5 General Education content and K-12 Special Education. In addition to my 2 Bachelor's degrees, I have received my Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.
I have served as an educator for over 20 years. I taught preschool for 5 years in a private school, I taught 4th grade at Locust Grove Elementary, I was an Interrelated Special Education Teacher in the elementary setting for 4 years at Hampton and Oakland Elementary, and for the past 9 years, I have taught Early Childhood Education in the CTAE Department at Locust Grove High School. I have served on leadership teams, design, and care teams, starting a Girl's Flag Football team at LGHS and serving as the Head Coach for three years. Each year we make the state playoffs. In our first year, we were the Henry County Champions and placed fifth in the state at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
I am the mother of 2 wonderful daughters, Chelsee and Courtnee. Chelsea is a graduate of the University of Georgia, with a degree in International Affairs. She is currently teaching History at Spalding County High School. Courtnee is a junior at Georgia College and State University majoring in Mass Communication. I love animals and have two Labradoodles and a tiger cat. I enjoy football, baseball (Go Steelers and Cubs!), horseback riding, downhill skiing, wakeboarding, and wake-surfing! My favorite color is Hunter Green and I love pink and white roses. I have lived in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Georgia. I love to travel and learn about new places.
