The Henry County Board of Education approved Dr. Jarvis Price as the new principal of Hampton High School during its May business meeting. His appointment is effective July 1.

Woodland High School rising senior Jada Michelle Ellis was announced as the 2025 Georgia Poet Laureate’s Prize winner by the Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA).

Austin Road Middle School eighth grader Elijah Atkins was named winner of the Georgia Model Water Tower Competition, held at the Water Tower Innovation Hub in Buford in April.
