Henry County Schools Honored with 14 GSPRA Publications Awards

HENRY COUNTY, GA – Henry County Schools received 14 publications awards at the 2025 Georgia Schools Public Relations Association (GSPRA) Annual Fall Conference, held Oct. 20-22 in Rome, Georgia.
The Annual GSPRA Publications and Peach Awards celebrate school public relations professionals across Georgia who demonstrate exceptional skills in communicating with various stakeholders through outstanding publications, photography, and electronic media.
The awards acknowledged communications collateral school districts published during the 2024-2025 school year. HCS’ Communications Department earned eight gold, four silver, and two bronze awards as follows:
- Annual Report: HCS received a bronze award for its 2021-2026 Community-Inspired Strategic Plan Annual Report – Year 3.
- Calendar: HCS won a gold award for its 2024-2025 school year calendar and directory, which is distributed to all schools and districts offices at the start of the school year, featuring a color-coded calendar on one side and the district’s phone directory on the other.
- Excellence in Writing: HCS received a gold award and a silver award for press releases, titled “Hampton High School Students Help Habitat for Humanity Build Solid Foundation for Deserving Family” and “Former Hampton High School Star Athlete Making Second Olympics Appearance,” respectively.
- Image/Identity Package: HCS won a silver award for its branding efforts supporting the launch of the Henry County Public Schools Foundation in February.
- Photography: HCS received two gold awards for a photo of elementary students during an installment of the district’s “Read Across Henry” literacy event and a photo capturing students conducting a science experiment at a summer STEM camp. HCS also received a silver award for a photo capturing Hampton High School’s Class of 2025 making hearts with their hands toward their families at graduation and a bronze award for a photo of Superintendent Dr. John Pace III seeing students off on the last day of the school year.
- Special Purpose Publication: HCS received a gold award for Dr. Pace’s 90-Day Entry Plan.
- Videography: HCS received a gold award for its “Catch the Pace” video series, in which Dr. Pace shares weekly highlights with the community. HCS also received a gold award for a video recap of the Class of 2025 graduation ceremonies at EchoPark Speedway and a silver award for Dr. Pace’s reading of the book “Jam, Too?” with the assistance of Stockbridge High School students.
- Website: HCS won a gold award for its 2024-2025 website redesign.

GSPRA, an affiliate of the National School Public Relations Association, is a vital medium for exchanging information across the state and provides member schools with tools and support to improve K-12 communication.
