HCS to Host Community Conversations Inviting Stakeholder Input on Upcoming Strategic Plan

HENRY COUNTY, GA – Henry County Schools invites local residents to participate in upcoming “Community Conversations,” designed to showcase the work of school clusters and gather insights that will guide the development of its 2026-2031 Strategic Plan.

HCS will host one session in each of the district’s 10 school clusters, beginning Sept. 4, with the final session scheduled for Oct. 16.

The Henry County Board of Education considers community engagement a critical component of its governance philosophy, providing opportunities for community members to voice their opinions through various forums, including fall and spring cluster meetings.

Input from these community conversations was key to the district’s 2021-2026 Community-Inspired Strategic Plan, enabling residents to articulate their hopes, dreams, and aspirations for public education in Henry County.

The Strategic Plan reflects the contributions of Henry County stakeholders, including HCS students and staff, families, and businesses and civic leaders, who inspired initiatives such as Henry County STEM High School, scheduled to open in fall 2027, and the recently launched Henry County Public Schools Foundation.

As HCS approaches the final year of the current Strategic Plan, it is once again presenting opportunities for residents to provide input that will shape the next five years of strategic initiatives for the district and, most importantly, help ensure bright futures for its 43,000 students.

• McDonough Cluster: Thursday, Sept. 4, 6 p.m., at McDonough High School
   
• Woodland Cluster: Thursday, Sept. 11, 6 p.m., at Woodland High School
   
• Hampton Cluster: Monday, Sept. 22, 6 p.m., at Hampton High School
   
• Union Grove Cluster: Thursday, Sept. 25, 6 p.m., at Union Grove Middle School
   
• Ola Cluster: Monday, Sept. 29, 6 p.m., at Ola High School
   
• Stockbridge Cluster: Monday, Oct. 6, 6 p.m., at Stockbridge High School
   
• Dutchtown Cluster: Tuesday, Oct. 7, 6 p.m., at Dutchtown Elementary School
   
• Eagle’s Landing Cluster: Thursday, Oct. 9, 6 p.m., at Birch Creek Elementary School
