• The Henry County School System's reputation for excellence continues to attract record numbers of students, with an enrollment over 42,000 students.  This continued growth is a testament to the quality of education offered to students in Henry County and to the school system's solid community support.
    There are 52 existing schools in Henry County, 1 alternative school, EXCEL Academy located in McDonough, and one evening academy located at the EXCEL Academy.   
    During the Fall 2009 semester, Clayton State University and Gordon College began offering college-level courses at the new Academy for Advanced Studies in McDonough at Henry County High School.  In addition, Southern Crescent Technical College began offering courses from selected technical programs at this site.  For more information on the Academy, please visit our website and under School System Updates, click on Academy for Advanced Studies.
