• HI! I’m Megan Graves and I am so excited to be here. I have met some really wonderful people at New Hope and have already made some great connections with kids. I come from Clayton County, Georgia where I grew up and graduated from Lovejoy High School.

I went on to get my bachelors and masters degrees from Mercer University – GO BEARS! In 2007, I became a teacher for the first time at Jackson Road Elementary in Griffin. I taught there for 7 years. Since then, I have taught college level Early Childhood Education classes and I have taught 3rd and 5th grades in Lamar County. By far, my most favorite group is 5th grade!

I am married to Darius, and we have 3 children – Kayla, Bradley, and Cassandra. Kayla and her husband Tyler gave us our first grandchild – Grayson – and are having another baby in the spring. Bradley is a senior in high school and Cassandra is in 2nd grade in Mrs. Culpepper’s class. We just moved to Locust Grove to be closer to New Hope.

I am looking forward to many fun and exciting things in 5th grade this year!
