Science/ Social Studies Teacher
  • Hello, my name is Mr. Ponder and it is an honor to serve as the 3rd Grade Math/Science teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. It will be my 5th year in education and my 2nd full year as a teacher. I have served in the special and general education settings. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with the faculty and staff!!

    What are we learning in class?

    Math: Relate Addition to Multiplication/ Distributive, Associative, and Commutative Properties/ Square Units and Area

    Science: Plant and Animal Adaptations, Pollution, Conservation, and Recycling

    ROE Announcements: 

    October 13th: Half Day/ Progress Reports sent via Portal

    October 16th Student Council Meeting

    October 18th Coffee and Conversation with Mr. Ausmore 

    October 19th Kona Ice

    November 3rd: Fall Festival 

    November 17th: 3rd Grade Field Trip to Fernbank Museum. The cost of the field trip is $15 and money and forms are due by October 20th!!

    It is very important that students are on time for school every day and that their chromebooks are charged up nightly!!

    Review Multiplication and Division facts every day, and also practice assignments on Khan Academy daily!!
