Originally recognized by our partner Positive Athlete Georgia as the Most Positive Special Needs Coach/Director, Lynne Connelly, of Union Grove High, is known for her continuous and tireless dedication to the Henry County special needs football and cheer program. She spends countless hours organizing and scheduling games, facilitating special events, and providing an arena for these athletes so that they can feel like super stars! The numerous student volunteers, community support, athletes on the field and volunteer coaches are all there because of the efforts made by Lynne Connelly to bring the program to life. Despite the adversity she faces teaching orthopedically impaired students, Lynne always maintains a positive attitude and encouraging word for others. She always has a smile on her face and makes anyone in her presence feel blessed to know her. Lynne does all of this out of the goodness of her heart, never seeking or needing any special attention.
