Transportation
The mission of the Henry County Schools Transportation Services Department is to provide the safest, most effective, and dependable school bus transportation for each student as a part of our district and community vision to empower all students with exceptional opportunities and access that lead to success in a global society. Transportation Services provides transportation to 22,000 students daily in a safe and secure environment.
Transportation Services is located at 255 Lemon Street, McDonough, GA 30253. Transportation Services may be contacted at 770.957.2025, or by fax at 770.898.3301, daily from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or until the last child is safely delivered.
School bell hours are 7:35 a.m.-2:15 p.m. for elementary school, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for middle school, and 8:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m. for high school.
Registering for Transportation
- Complete the Online Registration Process
a. Click here to access the Infinite Campus parent portal
b. On the left side of the page, you will see the heading "More"
c. Click the "More" link. This will bring up another page and the "Online Registration" page will be on the right.
d. You will need to update your information before you get to the transportation question.
e. In Online Registration: if you are eligible for transportation, and would like transportation select “YES” - Submit the Online Registration Form.
- After Online Registration is complete, download the "Here Comes the Bus" app or visit herecomesthebus.com.
HCS Transportation is now using a new parent notification app called "Here Comes the Bus." This app will notify parents when their student’s bus is approaching their stop. Learn more, including directions for downloading the app. Email any questions or concerns to HCTB@henry.k12.ga.us. |
