Parent and Family Engagement

Henry County Schools' Title I Office works directly with our 20 Title I Schools to support their efforts to actively engage parents in order to build their capacity to support their child academically.  

In March 2025 all parents and families of children in our 24 Title I schools for the 2024-2025 school year were invited and encouraged to attend the District Title I Parent Input Meeting virtually and in person. Parents were given the opportunity to share their feedback through an input survey to jointly develop the District Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan for the 2025-2026 school year. All feedback received by April 16, 2025 was considered to revise this Plan for the 2025-2026 school year.

Feedback on the 2025-2026 District Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan is welcome throughout the year, and will be under review for revision in January through the joint development with parent, family, and community stakeholders. We invite you to review the Plans above in the language of your choice and complete the District Title I Parent Input Survey form by clicking here or scanning the QR code. We value your feedback. Mark your calendars now for the District title I Parent Input Meeting on Thursday, February 26, 2026, 6 pm at The Henry County Learning and Support Center in the Commons at 166 Holly Springs Drive, McDonough, GA 30253.  

Engage with other parents and district staff to exchange ideas and share your feedback on our District Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan to revise it for the next school year. Explore resources to take home to support your child's learning. Books, learning kits, and door prizes will be available for parents to keep and take home. Interpreters for Spanish and French speakers will be in attendance.
