Annual Information Update
In preparation for the 2026-2027 school year, we encourage all families to complete the Annual Information Update through the Parent Portal by Friday, May 22, 2026. This process ensures enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year and will update all contact information, transportation requests, medical/health information, and will help to ensure that your student will be ready on the first day of school, August 3, 2026.
1. Open the Parent Portal.
2. Click the "More" option along the left-hand side of the page.
3. Select "Information Update-Verification".
4. Choose "Registration/Information Update 2026-2027".
5. Select "Start".

Additionally, all rising sixth and ninth grade students (current fifth and eighth graders) must submit new proof of residency documents and/or secure new affidavits of residency before the new school year begins. Proof of residency includes a lease, rental agreement, property tax statement, settlement statement, or closing disclosure and a current utility bill (electric, gas, water, cable, or sanitation).
Affidavits are provided at the Welcome Center from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Computer kiosks are also available for information updates. The Welcome Center is located at 166 Holly Smith Drive, McDonough, GA 30253.
The Georgia Department of Public Health requires that all children attending school be age-appropriately immunized OR have an acceptable exemption on file. O.C.G.A. § 20-2-771 requires children to submit a certificate of immunization upon enrollment; however, students may be granted a 30-calendar-day waiver of the certification requirement for a justified reason. This is a friendly reminder that ALL students must remain up-to-date with their immunization status throughout the school year, including:
- Those students who are entering the 11th grade and are 16 years old and older are required to have received the Meningococcal (MCV4) Immunization booster.
- Those students who are entering 7th grade are required to have one (1) dose of Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccine and one (1) dose of MCV4 (meningococcal conjugate vaccine).
Please contact your child’s healthcare provider, or the Henry County Health Department to discuss your child’s vaccination needs and to schedule your child’s school-required vaccinations.
For assistance or additional information, you may contact the Welcome Center at (770) 957-3945 or your child’s school.
