Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER)
The economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been staggering. The federal government responded to the economic crisis many school systems faced by providing Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funding. To date, the federal government has issued three rounds of ESSER funding to stabilize the infrastructure for K-12 education, provide resources to allow schools to safely operate, and support implementation of innovative practices to promote student learning.
Henry County School District documented its fiscal navigation of the unprecedented season in a whitepaper published in April 2021. This report can be downloaded here.
Henry County School District is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability of the ESSER funds. Interested parties are encouraged to explore the ESSER sub-pages for details related to grant allocation, budgetary planning, and expenditures.
