About Henry County STEM High School
Henry County STEM High School will offer a unique learning environment compared to other options available in our district. The school will open with 200 freshmen and 200 sophomores in the fall of 2027. The school will operate as a traditional, face-to-face high school and will serve as a student’s designated high school.
Specialized Pathways and Rigorous Courses
Students at Henry County STEM High School will explore in-depth pathways such as Artificial Intelligence, Engineering and Technology, Biotechnology, Agriculture Energy Systems, and Electronics with an Aerospace focus. Required AP courses will be integrated into these pathways, providing rigorous academic challenges. These specialized pathways distinguish the school from other general pathways offered at traditional zoned high schools and the Academy for Advanced Studies. Upon applying for admission, students will be asked to designate their primary and secondary STEM area of interest. While we will strive to accommodate as many first preferences as possible, we cannot guarantee placement in each student’s top choice. Additionally, once an admissions decision is made, the ability to change pathways of study is limited due to the specialized curriculum requirements.
As we draw nearer to the school’s opening, a dedicated Henry County STEM High School website will be launched to provide similar information to what is offered on our current school websites.
