Mr. Phillip Wilder
I was born and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, where Robins Air Force Base is housed.
I graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1985 and attended Middle Georgia College and the University of Georgia.
At MGC, I studied computer science, earning an Associate of Science degree in the spring of 1987.
Following my junior college stint, I matriculated at the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!) and received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Journalism in the fall of 1989.
My major at UGA was Public Relations.
After working in the grocery industry for 11 years and being a stay-at-home dad for 4 years, I began my teaching career in the fall of 2005.
This is my 20th year of teaching, with this being my 11th year at Ola Middle School.
My wife and daughter, pictured with me to the left, are both in the education profession.
My wife is a 35-year veteran Spanish teacher and my daughter, who graduated from Kennesaw State University in December 2023, is beginning her career as a Spanish teacher this year at Ola Middle School.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy family time, our 5 cats, running, golf, and reading.
