    Biographical information:

Welcome. I am rusty shirley and I taught high school mathematics for 37.222 years (seven at Morrow Senior High School and 30 at Eagle's Landing High School). During that time I also taught college mathematics as an adjunct instructor at Clayton State University for 16 years. I retired from teaching at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. I grew up in Forest Park, GA, attended Hendrix Drive Elementary School, G.P. Babb Junior High School, and graduated from Forest Park Senior High School in 1973. I graduated from Covenant College in 1977 and attended the Atlanta School of Biblical Studies, working toward a Master of Divinity degree, before going to Georgia State University to become certified to teach Mathematics. I love music (played the french horn in high school), reading (have a "mini-library" of over 900 books), photography, and wandering around the beach and the woods. I still plan to attend many school activities and support my former students as much as possible. I have a "Hobbit House" in my front yard and located next to it is a Barrow-downs. I was one of the original faculty at Eagle's Landing High School. I had the best students in the world and I did my best to try to get them to learn at a level that will prepare them for any future they may encounter.
