Mrs. Christina G. Smith

Hello!  My name is Christina Smith.  I joined the teaching profession in 2002, after working in the public sector for nearly 8 years as a counselor.  I love working as a Special Educator and making a difference in the lives of children!  I attended Indiana Wesleyan University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Counseling.  I then attended the University of Georgia where I earned my teaching certificate.  Later, I attended Troy University, earning a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology.  All of these experiences have helped me be a better teacher to Ola Elementary students.

I am happily married to my handsome husband, Wes, and am the blessed mother of our son, Aaron.  We love to explore and have adventures together!  There’s also nothing better than settling in, for a great movie and a bowl of popcorn on a Friday night, with my two favorite guys!   We especially love our church family at Hopewell Presbyterian in Covington, Georgia.   As transplants from another state, it is wonderful to have such a loving church family when our relatives are hundreds of miles away!  And, it’s a joy to be a part of the Ola Elementary School family too!  The sense of community that is fostered here draws us all together, strengthening our corporate efforts!  It is a joy to serve the students of Ola Elementary School, and I look forward to working with you and your child in the coming months!
