    Click the link above to participate in the challenge and follow the prompts to register/sign in. Students may also click on the Beanstack Chromebook App and log 20 hours of reading under the HCS Summer Beanstack Reading Challenge. 
    Incentives will be given to UGHS students participating in the Summer Beanstack Reading Challenge. Students must present their 20 hour Beanstack participation data to Dr. Graham in the UGHS Media Center/Learning Commons by August 16th.  

    *Georgia Peach Award for Teen Readers 2024-2025

    The purpose of the Georgia Peach Award is to highlight and promote the best current young adult literature for Georgia high school-age students, to encourage young adults to read, and to promote the development of cooperative school and public library services for young adults. Teens vote for their favorite books from the year's top 20 nominees at their high schools and local public libraries. 

    *eBooks, eMagazines & Audiobooks

    Henry County students have access to FREE eBooks, eMagazines & Audiobooks using their Chromebook Classlink Apps: Overdrive, Sora, and Follett Destiny.


    *Recommended Books for High School Students

    The list features books recommended by the UGHS English Department. Students may find many of the recommended books/audiobooks by accessing Follett Destiny, and Sora. 

    *Young Adult Library Services Association Best Fiction Books 2024
    YALSA’s Best Fiction for Young Adults Committee presents fiction titles published for young adults in the past 16 months that are recommended reading for ages 14 to 18.
