Ben Martin

  My name is  Ben Martin and I will be the physical education teacher here at New Hope Elementary. This will be my 6th year teaching at New Hope Elementary. But overall this will be my 20th year teaching.  I previously taught at Timber Ridge Elementary, and Stockbridge High School.  I graduated from Gordon College with an Associates degree in Education. While attending Gordon I played on the soccer team. I then graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in physical education and health.  I then earned my Master's degree from Troy University.  I coached High school football at Stockbridge for 5 years, and at Union Grove for 10 years.  I coached baseball at Stockbridge High School. While coaching baseball I was awarded the assistant baseball coach of the year by the county. I also coached soccer 1 year at Union Grove. I have a great family. I am married to Connie Martin we have 4 kids. Our oldest Hannah graduated from Union Grove High. Billy attends Union Grove High,  and then we have Zac and Sarah Ruth here at New Hope. We love to go on trips and visit new places. Other hobbies I enjoy doing are spending time outdoors, hunting or fishing. I also really like to BBQ and hang out around our pool.
