Jermaine T. Ausmore, Sr., Principal
  • Greetings Red Oak Elementary Community,

My name is Jermaine Ausmore, Sr. and it is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the next principal at Red Oak Elementary. I come to you with 21 years of experience as an educator, with my most recent role being that of the principal of Stockbridge Elementary for four years. I use my background as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, program coordinator, assistant principal, and principal to lead and advocate for the needs of students, teachers, and families.

I am originally from Trenton, New Jersey; however, I consider myself “old-school” Atlanta. I graduated from Westlake High School in Fulton County. I attended Morris Brown College, where I earned my bachelor's degree and met my wife of 18 years Mrs. Dena Ausmore. Dena and I live in McDonough with our children Imani (19), Jermaine Jr. (15), Noah (10), and our Shih Tzu, Bear.

It is my passion to ensure that all students are nurtured, challenged, and inspired. I am excited to begin working with our teachers and students to push ROE to even greater heights. I have a responsibility to advance the best interests of our community by enriching the lives of young people. Accordingly, strong communities are anchored in strong schools. As such, my responsibility is to ensure that all students have access to highly effective schools. I look forward to hearing your ideas and learning about your hopes and desires as we embark on the next chapter in the epic story of Red Oak Elementary.

Again, I am humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to serve this community. I look forward to getting to know you all as well as our students.
