Mr. Cedric Nash, Assistant Principal

  • Mr. Cedric Austin Nash is in his tenth year as an educator in Henry County, and this is his 20th year in education. Striving for excellence and having a no-quit attitude is the way Mr. Nash operates.  Mr. Nash’s mother served in the Women’s Army Corps and gave him the drive which eliminated “Can’t” from his vocabulary; his initials spell CAN.


    A graduate of Asheville High School, education took him to Brevard College in Brevard, NC, where he received an Associate of Arts degree; High Point University in High Point, NC, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion and Christian education; Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC for lateral entry training in education; and East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN for a Masters of Education degree in educational leadership.  Currently, Mr. Nash is studying for a Ph.D. in organizational leadership at Anderson University in Anderson, SC.

    A devoted and proud veteran of the United States Army, he served from 1992 to 2000.  Mr. Nash is married to Clover Anne Cunningham-Nash, and they have two sons; Varian Austin and Aaron Michael Nash.
