      CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT GREGORY A. GWYN II (RET).

     
     

    CMSgt Gregory A. Gwyn II retired as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 413 Flight Test Group, Robins Air Force base, Ga. He was responsible for advising the commander on all issues concerning health, morale, welfare, and effective management of the enlisted force throughout the group.

    A native of Attica, Michigan, CMSgt Gwyn enlisted in the Air Force in March 1995.  After graduating from the Security Forces Academy, and Air Base Ground Defense training at Ft. Dix, New Jersey July 1995, he served at the 35th Security Forces Squadron, Misawa AFB Japan, until transferring to the 78th Security Forces Squadron, Robins AFB. CMSgt Gwyn served as the Flight Sergeant, 94th Security Forces Squadron, Dobbins ARB until 2009 when he accepted two consecutive Active Guard -Reserve (AGR) tours at HQ AFRC, Robins AFB as a mobilization, readiness, training, and integrated defense subject matter expert. CMSgt Gwyn has also served as an Enlisted Force Development Action Officer responsible for all program management, analysis, and force development related administration of Air Force Reserve Command leadership education programs for over 57K enlisted personnel.

    CMSgt Gwyn has over 27 years’ experience in anti-terrorism, physical security, training, mobilizations, contingency operations, readiness plans, integrated defense, emergency management, leadership and managerial expertise. He has served at the wing level as a Flight Sergeant and the NCOIC of training, overseeing a Security Forces flight of 25 members and training more than 150 personnel at any given time. As a Security Forces Action Officer, he deployed nearly 350 Security Forces personnel annually. CMSgt Gwyn has participated in Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom, Operation Southern Watch, and Operation Pacific Haven. CMSgt Gwyn currently serves as an Aerospace Science Instructor for Ola High School Air Force Junior ROTC program teaching Aerospace Science and Leadership Education.
