Stockbridge Elementary School’s commitment to highly effective instruction and continuous improvement led to our recognition by the Georgia Department of Education as a Title – I Reward School for the 2019-2020 school year. We received this designation by increasing our overall College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) score by 31.1 points. This growth represents a 78% gain over the previous year’s score. This outcome is the result of the collective dedication of our faculty, staff, and school partners. In addition to our increase in the overall CCRPI score, we also met 100% of our improvement targets for all of our student subgroups and improved our progress toward English proficiency rating by 14.8 percentage points from 64.5% to 79.3%.
Our school’s tremendous growth is anchored in a robust academic program that ensures that every student receives rigorous learning experiences in all core subjects and a commitment to continuous improvement.

In order to establish the fundamental skills necessary for students to thrive, all students participate in daily guided reading and mathematics groups.
All students receive personalized academic support during daily Instructional Focus (IF) sessions. Daily phonics instruction (K-2nd grade) and virtual literacy coaching (3rd grade). Technology integration that includes iPads for all pre-k through 2nd grade students and Chromebooks for every 3rd grade student. Weekly physical education, Art, Music, Technology, and STEM classes.

    SES picClimate and Culture
We believe that we are at our best when all stakeholders work together to support our school. SES is privileged to receive support from our school partners in a variety of ways. Highlights of our school community connections include: We recently established a partnership with Global Impact Christian Ministries. Through this partnership, our school was able to provide our students with school supplies, snacks, and personal protective equipment. Our partnership also allowed us to recognize and celebrate the hard work of our faculty and staff.

Stockbridge Elementary received a 2021 School Crashers grant from the Georgia United Foundation. This grant will fund the renovation of our playground and provide an awesome recreational space for our students. We also partnered with the City of Stockbridge’s Main Street program to create a mural at the intersection of Harrell Dr. and N. Henry Blvd. The mural was revealed during the Summer of 2021.

    SES pic Extracurriculars
To ensure all students maximize their social and academic potential, Stockbridge Elementary School offers extracurricular activities through our school clubs. These activities include, but are not limited to: the garden to table club, STEM club, kickball club, Spanish club, Zumba club, cooking club, and our coloring and craft club. We believe that these clubs provide our students with the opportunities and experiences to be challenged while learning new skills in an area that they are passionate about. We encourage all of our SES students to participate in at least one club to increase their school experience and to build relationships with a variety of students.
SES also offers the Afterschool Enrichment Program (ASEP) as a low-cost option for childcare services for all students. The Afterschool enrichment program offers a variety of recreational and educational activities to enhance students’ social and academic development.

The Georgia Student Health Survey is given to all k-12 students in Georgia in the spring of each school year. It is composed of a variety of questions that help our district better understand the student experience in our schools. The literacy information is calculated as the percentage of students reading on or above grade level determined by scores on the Milestones End-of-Grade assessments for 3rd grade in English Language Arts. Each of these data components can be viewed for the previous three years. For more information about these measurements, please access the Stockbridge Elementary School website.
