Greetings All,

My name is Marlon J. Gilbert, and it is my distinct pleasure to introduce myself to you as the 8th grade Administrator. I am honored to be a member of the bulldog Family, and anxiously awaiting opportunities to #Elevate #TheDutchtownWay. Throughout my career, I have aligned my work and committed myself to servant leadership and continuous school improvement, and I will hold steadfast to this commitment for this school community. As a new addition to this great community, my goal is to work collaboratively with families, faculty and staff, and students to  ensure that every scholar receives a world-class education. Together, we will continue to advance opportunities, access, and outcomes for each individual scholar.

During my career as an educator, I have served as a Middle School Math and Science Teacher, math department chair, teacher leader, football and basketball coach, and elementary Assistant Principal. I have been honored as the Randolph-Clay Middle School Teacher of the Year and the Randolph County Schools Teacher of the Year. I earned my Education Specialist in Educational Leadership from Albany State University, and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Columbus State University. I am a proud alumnus of The Fort Valley State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education. I am currently pursuing my Education Doctorate in Administration from South Carolina State University and anticipating a successful defense within the next year.

As we are on the horizon of the 2022-2023 school year, I am looking forward to fostering relationships and partnering with all stakeholders to ensure that our scholars are able to maximize their potential and are fundamentally prepared for high school and beyond. I am eager to meet each of you and looking forward to a wonderful school year.

    Best regards,

    Marlon J. Gilbert, Ed.S
