Henry County Schools offers Adult English Language Learner (ELL) classes to help adults improve their English skills. These classes are designed to assist participants in developing their language abilities for work, daily life, and supporting their children’s education. Here are some key details:
Class Offerings
- Beginner and Intermediate Levels: Classes are available for different proficiency levels, ensuring that participants receive instruction suited to their current skills.
- Skills Covered: The classes focus on speaking, writing, reading, and understanding English1.
- Materials: All necessary materials are provided free of charge.
Locations and Schedule
- Henry County Learning and Support Center: Classes are held at this central location to make them accessible to the community.
- Flexible Scheduling: Both day and evening classes are available to accommodate different schedules.
Enrollment Process
- Placement Test: Participants take a placement test to determine the most appropriate class level.
