NHS MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

The following list of tasks are the requirements for the
Senior NHS Graduation Cords:
- Scholarship
- Cumulative numerical averages will be checked after each semester.
- If your average is below 90 (not rounded) after one semester, then you will be recommended for probation.
- If the average has not improved to a 90 by the second semester then you will be recommended for dismissal by the Faculty Council. For the 5th six weeks, there is no probation.
- Attendance to all club meetings.
- Club meetings take place the third Tuesday of every month.
- Attendance is mandatory. (Please email advisor if you cannot attend).
- Meetings take place in room 610.
- School/ Community Involvement
- Members are encouraged to continue in their community service endeavors.
- Minimum of 5 community service hours for the school year.
- Minimum of 5 hours of School Activity Service, 2 of these hours should be NHS related.
- Active participation in fund-raising projects.
- Log your service here.
- Pay Chapter Dues (Paid by January 9th, 2022):
- Senior Dues: $50.00
- Junior Dues: $35.00
- Paid through Myschool bucks.
In order to remain a member of the National Honor Society, you must continue to exhibit the standards of scholarship, leadership, service and character that allowed you to be selected. You must continue to meet the following responsibilities. Failure to meet these obligations will place you on probation. If the problem is not corrected or if you fail in another area then you will be recommended for dismissal by the Faculty Council. You may be placed on probation only once. Dismissal means that you will not be identified at graduation as a NHS graduate. Any dues paid are non-refundable.
