• What is a SHS Student Ambassador?

     The Stockbridge HS Student Ambassador program is a group of students who are dedicated to the positive promotion of Stockbridge High School. The main job of the student ambassador program is to be a helpful, friendly face for the incoming freshman students and promote positive behavior throughout the building.
     
    Some of their duties include:
    1. Assisting students to find classrooms and major areas of the building
    2. Teaching them how to navigate within the building
    3. Answering questions about activities, classes, building facilities and school rules
    4. Positively representing the Stockbridge HS student body.
    5. Act as an ambassador to prospective students and families at school events
    6. Travel to feeder middle schools (Austin Road Middle & Stockbridge Middle School) to assist with 8th grade transitional meetings/ day in a life of a high schooler.
    Some of the rewards/benefits of the program:
    1. Sharpen communication and public speaking 
    2. Improve interpersonal and conversational skills
    3. Enhance confidence when speaking and interacting with many members of the Stockbridge community
    4. Develop networking skills through participation at exciting events
    5. Develop leadership to use in the real world.
