Welcome to Healthcare Science at Hampton!

Healthcare Science, Creating a Better World Through Your Skills

He’s Back! This 2023-24 school year marks my return to the Hampton family.  I originated the Healthcare Science Pathway when the school opened, and managed the HOSA Chapter from 2014 to 2019.  I look forward to supporting and engaging our future medical professionals, plus coaching tennis.

My education career began at West Georgia Technical College in 2013, and I have taught in Henry County for eight years.

I was born and raised in south metro Atlanta and graduated from Morrow High School.  My activities included performing in the marching band, working on the school newspaper, and—at the young age of 16—spinning vinyl records as a country/gospel music disc jockey on Morrow’s WSSA 1570 AM.

I earned my bachelor's degree at the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!), and received my EMT/Firefighter certification at the Clayton Co. Fire & EMS Academy.  Next, I completed my teacher certification in May 2015 through the Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (GaTAPP).

Our unique and challenging new world reinforces the importance of all academic skills.  My goal is to provide tools for our youth allowing them to avoid or reduce life’s challenges in or outside the classroom.   Your toolbox enables the pivotal skills to adapt and overcome.  Skills learned today may be something you need tomorrow, in the next grade, or when you are thirty.  I strive for one's self-reliance in order to provide for a family or oneself in the future.

Henry County has been my home for over 20 years (I remember when Henry County had just two high schools); and when I’m not spending time with my daughters, Gabby, CeCe, and Marissa, I enjoy photography, tennis, reading, NASCAR, college sports, trivia games, and movies (I actually appear in the background of a few).

Let’s embrace and reflect the Hampton Creed to Be Prompt, Be Productive, Be Polite, Be Positive, and Be a Hornet throughout 2023-24 for personal and academic success.
