Meet the Teacher

Welcome to STEM! My name is Holly Carr, and I am the STEM teacher this school year. In 2010, I graduated from Mercer University with a dual degree in Early Childhood/Special Education. After graduating, I  began my teaching career in Henry County, where I taught 6th grade Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies as well as Exceptional Education. This is my third year as a Locust Grove Wildcat.

I am a mother of two wonderful young men, Brian and Brayden. In addition to being a mom, I am a GiGi to my precious grandbabies, Taylen and Ariella.

When I am not teaching or planning for my fabulous learners, I am spending time with my family, meeting friends for coffee, attending sporting events, listening to music, or shopping. I was born in Atlanta and grew up in Georgia, so I am a HUGE Braves and UGA fan.

I am super eager to meet all of you and excited to begin this journey with you!
