- Be in charge of your learning and growth
- Success requires only consistent, dedicated work
- Complete all work to the best of your ability
- Performance counts
TIPS TO ASSIST IN FULFILLING YOUR ROLE
- Read the chapter BEFORE we start discussing it in class
- Print out Power Point notes from web page to bring with you to class
- Attempt assigned homework problems nightly
- Review your notes nightly
- Complete lab reports and start on them earlier than you think you need to
The #1 predictors for success in college (graduation) is the number of rigorous courses (gifted, honors, AP) completed successfully in high school.
For each AP class a student completes, they double their chances of graduating from college. The average graduation rate at college is 52%
Tutoring: Chemistry is a subject where each unit builds upon the knowledge of the previous unit; therefore, falling behind could be dangerous! If at any time you need extra help, I am available for tutoring before school and after school – dates and times for the week will be posted on the board.
I look forward to getting to know you this year!
Mrs. Sabine
