Degrees and Certifications:

Erik Glotfelty

I am originally from Beltsville, MD, where my father was a chemist for the USDA. I attended the University of Maryland from 1986-1991, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. I've taught in several different states, including West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. I left teaching music for a while, got married, and moved to Virginia. I started teaching again, this time in other subjects. I spent 13 years teaching at Fairfield Middle School, just outside of Richmond, VA. My family and I moved to Bullitt County, KY in 2015 to become the pastor of the Mt. Washington Family Worship Center, and a teacher at Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville, KY. This is my second year teaching at Hampton HS, teaching ELA and Social Studies. Additionally, I earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University, and am currently working on a M.A.T. degree in Special Education from the University of the Cumberlands. I also serve as pastor at Powder Springs Christian Fellowship (Church of God of Prophecy) in Cobb County, GA. I live with my wife Agatha, my daughter Olivia, my two sons, Javier and Freddie, and my granddaughter Journey.
