Growth Mindset- A mindset is your perception or belief about what you can do. If you believe you can develop or grow your brain then you have a Growth Mindset. When you learn something new, like how to solve the Rubik's Cube, it makes your brain grow. A key part of having a Growth Mindset is doing something that is difficult without giving up. We call this Perseverance. As you learn to solve the Rubik's Cube, remember to say, "I can't do it...YET!"

Having a Growth Mindset doesn't mean that you will always be successful at everything you try. Actually, a Growth Mindset means that when you try something difficult or challenging, you don't think you are unintelligent. Instead, you think of this as an opportunity to learn and become smarter. It is important that you do not give up. Your brain is an organ, but it acts like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. In our brains we have billions of brain cells called Neurons. Neurons transmit information. They make connections in your brain. When you are learning something new and you dont give up, you are making strong connections in your brain.
