S.O.A.R Recognition Incentives
Student-Faculty Games
Description: This is an opportunity for students to attend a student-faculty basketball or other sporting game.
Students must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible: zero unexcused tardies to school, zero tardies to class, and zero referrals.
Athletics Passes/Ticket and a Coke (once each nine weeks)
Description: This is an opportunity for students to obtain free admittance to selected sporting events and receive one free drink from the concession stand.
Students must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible: zero unexcused tardies to school, zero tardies to class, and zero referrals.
Big Ticket Lotto (end of each semester)
Description: This is an opportunity for eligible students to be entered into a drawing. Prizes may include big ticket items.
Students must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible: The qualifications for this prize is (1) 3 or less tardies or unexcused absences (2) No Referrals, and (3) passing all 4 classes
No Unexcused Absences Prize Drawing (once every 9 weeks)
Description: This is an opportunity for eligible students to be entered into a drawing to win a prize.
Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible: Zero unexcused absences to school within a given 9 week period.
No Tardy Ice Cream Party (once every 9 weeks)
Description: This is an opportunity for students to attend an ice social.
Students must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible: zero unexcused tardies to school, zero tardies to class.
Sweets for Seven (once every 4.5 weeks)
Description: This is an opportunity for eligible students to receive a special treat.
Students must pass 4 out of 4 classes to be eligible.
SOAR Shout Outs
Description: This is an opportunity for students to get a shout out via afternoon announcements/Rolling Screen and Twitter. Students are recognized by faculty members and the principal.
Positive Behavior Referral
Description: Teachers will have an opportunity to submit a Positive Behavior Referral for a student to their administrators. These students have gone above and beyond on meeting the Student Expectations on the S. O.A.R. Matrix.
180 Degree Award
Description: Eligible students who have demonstrated a “180 degree” academic turnaround in the majority of their classes.
