    Title I Family Engagement Liaison

    Greeting Stockbridge High School Family

    August 3, 2023

My name is Ms. Pass-Brown and I serve as the Title I Family Engagement Liaison at Stockbridge High School. I am delighted to be part of such a great school and supportive community. I look forward to working with each parent within this community. My primary goal is to assist and involve each parent in their child’s education and strengthen his/her academic achievement. When parents are active, students achieve increased attendance, higher grades, and test scores.
How will it be achieved? The SHS teachers and staff will share relevant topics and strategies for parents to use to support their child's continued education. Each day, our Parent Resource Center is available for learning sessions, scheduling parent and teacher conferences, checking individual students’ grades, as well as information about countrywide testing and dates. The Resources Center will also provide educational materials for parents and families to check out. Remember we are here to answer questions about your child’s educational needs. We have an open-door policy— Parents are ALWAYS welcome.

    What is Title I?
Title I is a part of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). This act provides federal funds through the Georgia Department of Education to local education agencies (LEA’s) and public schools. The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have the opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency in challenging state academic standards and assessments.

I am so thankful to serve you and look forward to a lasting partnership!
