School Clinic Information
The school year has been off to a great start so far. We would like to take this time to remind you about some county policies that some of you may not be aware of:
-
Any medication dispensed from the clinic must be in the original labeled container and provided by the parent with written permission. We are unable to provide medication for students. If you feel that your child may need medication during the school year, please provide the school with a bottle/box of medication with your child’s name and a medication authorization form so that we may have it here at the school if it is needed. Medication Authorization Forms may be obtained from the school website (see bottom of page) or in the school clinic.
-
Students should not return to school until fever (temperature greater than 100) and/or vomiting free for 24 hours without the use of medication. Please do not treat a fever and send your child to school.
-
The principal should be notified in writing if a student has a chronic illness or disability that could require special or emergency treatment.
-
Contagious illness: If a student has been identified as possibly having a contagious illness, the school system will follow the infectious disease reporting protocol including recommendations from the Health Department. The parent/guardian must provide a release to school signed by a medical doctor indicating the date the student can return to school.
You will find below other forms that may be needed throughout the year.
We are looking forward to a great year and appreciate your help in keeping the children happy and healthy.
