Ms. Courtney Bell

Greetings and Welcome to MID 3-5

My name is Courtney Bell, and I am excited to be teaching your scholar this year! This is my 3rd year in MID and my 3rd year here at Pate's Creek Elementary. I am excited about starting my 4th year with Henry County schools as I was previously with DeKalb County. I am big on communication as I will communicate on Class Dojo phone, and via email weekly. 

I attended Georgia State University where I received a double Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. I also have my Masters in School Counseling from Walden University and will be returning soon to my alma mater, Georgia State University, to obtain my doctorate in Education of Students with Exceptionalities.I have a passion for working with children and helping them grow, which is why I was excited to take over the MID Teacher from the MID Para role. My goal is to advocate for all my scholars to receive an EXCEPTIONAL education while in my classroom.  

I currently reside in Henry County with my significant other and our 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. I am now a parent of two middle schoolers, 6th and 7th graders at Austin Road Middle School and two 3rd graders here at Pate's Creek Elementary. (I have Irish twins, lol). I love sports, shopping, spending time with family and friends and writing poetry. In my free time, I am always learning and reading books or catching a cozy nap under my favorite blanket. My favorite colors are orange and blue, i love lemonade and flavored lemonade, and I love Italian food except spaghetti (lol). 

I am looking forward to working with each one of you this school year. I want to say Thank you to each family for entrusting me with your child this 24-25 school year.
