Dear Parents/Guardians, On behalf of Fairview Elementary School, we would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to First Grade for the Academic Year 2024-2025. First grade is a year filled with fun and huge leaps in learning. First-graders develop fundamental work habits, appropriate social behaviors, problem-solving and decision-making skills and, of course, academic skills. First-graders engage in fun projects, experimental learning and opportunities to grow their love of learning in Literacy, Math, Science and Social Studies. It’s my absolute pleasure to be joining you and your learner on this journey through First Grade. I know that together we are going to achieve a successful and rewarding experience. I will work hard to establish the classroom as a happy, comfortable, and safe learning environment. However, you and your child will be working equally hard to make this year successful. I believe that each child brings their own unique talents, experiences, and personality to share in the classroom. I look forward to learning with your child and sharing curriculum that is enriching and sparks their interest.
