Beginning for the 2025-2026 school year, HCS students in grades K-12 are not permitted to display or use a cell phone, smartwatch, or other electronic communication device on school property during the school day.

Henry County Schools is the 8th largest school district in Georgia with nearly 44,000 students across 53 schools.

Our student-centered budgeting focus will result in a record investment of $13,867 per student for the 2025-26 school year.

Our four-year graduation rate of 86.8% in HCS surpasses the state’s record-high of 85.4% for the Class of 2024.

Our starting teacher salary is $53,910, representing a $15,000 increase since 2018.

Our bus drivers earn a starting salary of $22.22/hour and totaled more than 1.9 million miles last year in service of our schools.

The Henry County Board of Education is the 2023 Georgia School Board Association Large District Governance Team of the Year.
