UGE Physical Education Banner
The Physical Education Program at Unity Grove Elementary School will emphasize the development of basic skills, aerobic exercise, cooperative learning, movement concepts, and lots of FUN! The activities the children will be engaged in will be developmentally appropriate and each child will have the opportunity to develop their skills at their own pace. The main benefits of physical education include the enhancement of creativity, social skills, good manners, patience, sportspersonship, honesty, and discipline.

Students are expected to:
• Wear appropriate clothing and tennis shoes for safety and free movement.
• Follow the safety rules and procedures.
• Listen and follow directions.
• Bring a note from parent or doctor when unable to participate.
• Help others who are not as skilled as they are.
• Set goals and improve skills in each activity.

The Physical Education rules are as follows:
• Follow directions the first time they are given.
• Try your best.
• Respect everyone and everything.
