Easter Island Plants and Animals
Because of its temperature, Easter Island only has a few species of plants and animals. They have no mammals, two types of small lizards and only a few species of insects. There are very few fish in the water surrounding Easter Island. When humans moved to the island, that did not help the situation much. Settlements on the island were made up of huts and crops were grown in the backyards.
