This 53 million dollar home has got it all. Imagine 66,000 square feet of lush, beautiful, house, complete with pools, spas, and theaters. All of this is at the Bill Gates House. On the shores of Lake Washington, this place has got it all.
First, there's the multi-purpose room. It's 900 square feet and almost entirely underground.
Then there's the gatehouse. It houses the garage, mailroom, and security garage.
Next, there's the poolroom. This 17 by 60 foot pool has a fossil motif. It also has an underwater sound system.
The library has 2 pivoting bookcases and is home to Leonardo DaVinci's 16th century notebook. (Approximate worth: 30.8 million dollars!)
The grand staircase is 92 feet long and 63 feet high. There are 84 steps, but if you prefer, you can take the elevator.
The theater is 1,000 square feet. That's pretty big. It has 20 plush seats, a popcorn machine, and is decorated in an art deco theme.
The office is 1,900 square feet. It has rooms for conferences and a large computer room.
The guest house is a lovely, 1,900 square foot cottage. It has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and 1 fireplace. Gates wrote most of his book, The Road Ahead here.
The estuary has a stream and wetlands to solve the problem of runoff caused by retaining walls behind the house. It is stocked with salmon and trout.
The boathouse is a rustic log cabin with an inlet just big enough for a ski boat. Bill enjoys working out in the outdoor spa nearby.
This truly amazing house is the perfect place to relax and just have a good time.
