Coach Kirkland

My name is Tiffany Kirkland and this is my sixth year as a teacher and a coach in the Henry County School System. I am extremely excited to be teaching at Ola Middle School. I am the head girl’s basketball and track coach and I also help out with our softball team when I can. During my first 5 years, I taught at Union Grove Middle and Union Grove High. While at Union Grove High School, I had the opportunity to coach basketball with Mr. A.C. McCullers. I will never forget the experience and will always be thankful for the many lessons that he taught me.

I grew up in Douglasville, Ga. and graduated from Douglas County High School. I received my bachelor’s degree from the State University of West Georgia in Physical Education & Health. I also hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Specialist in Curriculum & Administration. I always loved school while growing up and actually cried when I graduated from high school because I just did not want to leave. I love sports and played basketball and ran track in high school. Now that my playing days are over, I play golf as much as I can.  I also love bluegrass gospel music and have played the banjo since I was 9 years old. When I am away from school, I love spending time with my family. My husband and I have no children yet, but we do have a family of dachshunds that we love very much, Buddy, Sandy, and Dusty.
