OMS Literary Magazine

The 2006-2007 literary magazine is now accepting original writings from students, teachers, and administrators.

Do you write poems, plays, short stories, personal narratives, essays, songs, speeches, etc.?

Give your entries to your language arts teacher, who can help you edit and revise them. The writer must lightly print his or her name and language arts teacher’s name on the back.  Then submit them to Mrs. Ruland in trailer #21.

Do you draw?

  • We need original art submitted for the magazine.
  • Also, think of a unique way to show mustangs (students) writing, maybe using a horse or horseshoe theme, and enter the COVER CONTEST. (Entries are due by November 1, 2006)

(All art must be original and not a copy of anyone else’s art, drawings, paintings, cartoon characters, etc.  Art must be drawn with black ink on plain white paper no larger than 8 ½ x 11.  The artist must sign the work in the lower right-hand corner, and lightly print his or her name and language arts teacher’s name on the back.)

Everyone published will be invited to a reception this spring!

Already submitted work to be published?  Make sure your parents print and SIGN this permission form!
