Henry County Schools

Henry County Evening Academy students are able to earn new credit as well as make-up credit during the four mini-semesters that are offered during the regular school year. In addition, a summer Mini-Semester is offered. The Evening Academy also accepts full-time students, students who have attempted at least one year of regular school and are at least 16 years old. Registration

Part-Time, Henry County students: Those students enrolled in the Henry County School System during the 2005-2006 school year attending both the day program and Evening Academy: $225.00 per one-half (1/2) unit course. Part-time students must have an Evening Academy registration form completed by his/her school counselor BEFORE any registration action may be taken.

Out-of-county students: $450 per one-half (1/2) unit. Students not enrolled in the Henry County School System during the 2005-2006 school year must provide written certification on school letterhead stationery from their current school’s principal or counselor indicating which course(s) the student should take. This certification must be presented upon registration. Henry County students (as defined above) take priority over out-of-county students.

Full-Time, Henry County Students: Those students, ages 16-21, attending the Evening Academy for all classes, taking three classes each mini-semester: no tuition costs (some classes may require a book deposit or lab fee).

Part-Time, Henry County students, $225 per course

Out-of-county students, $450 per course

Payment accepted in cash, money order, or cashier's check made payable to Henry County Schools. No personal or business checks will be accepted.

A schedule of classes will be developed based on student registration and teacher availability.

Additional courses may be added, provided the minimum number of students (15) have registered for a particular course.

A maximum of 1 1/2 Unit credit may be earned each mini-semester. It is highly recommended that part-time students take no more than two classes per mini-semester.
