The adult education programs in Henry
County provide instruction in basic education, GED (General
Education Diploma) preparation, and English as a Second
Language. Day and evening classes are offered. GED testing is scheduled each
month. Class schedules, GED testing dates and registration
information are available from the Adult Education office.
How can I enroll in GED
Day and evening General Equivalence Diploma (GED) classes
are held at several locations. The GED Program Director is Ms.
Cookie Keene. For information about classes, please telephone

To enroll in classes, an individual should register during quarterly
registration. To be eligible, an
individual must be over 16 years of age and not enrolled in
school. Withdrawal forms from the last school attended are
required for student who are 16 or 17 years old.

GED Tests are scheduled monthly. Pre-registration is required. The test fee is $55.00 cash or money order.
A Georgia driver's license or state identification is required.
Information regarding age eligibility,
retesting, transcripts, the content and length of the test is
available upon request. Test candidates must make an
appointment and complete the registration procedures in
person. Registration is scheduled weekly, excluding holidays:
8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
